Client: School project
Hilma af Klint was a Swedish artist and mystic whose paintings were the first Western abstract art known to the current art community. To celebrate and bring awareness to af Klint, the Guggenheim hosted an exhibition of her work, titled “Paintings for the Future.” My task was to design identity assets for the exhibition.
Since af Klint is an artist of relative obscurity, it was beneficial to keep design simplified in order to push her work to the forefront. From posters to catalogue, af Klint’s work is used as the main design element to anchor everything.
